Open Lexicon is a project derived from the now-defunct Open Lexique that aims to:
– allow simultaneous queries across several databases. The idea is to easily obtain diverse lexical characteristics coming from different databases.
– enable these simultaneous queries in various languages and not only in French (which was the case with the Open Lexique project).
Open Lexicon GitHub provides the databases and the source code underlying the searches on http://www.lexique.org, as well as various scripts to create or extract information from these databases (for example: complex queries, syllabification, neighbor calculations, anagram calculations, …).
The project is hosted on GitHub to facilitate collaborative work.
